We offer three sedation levels: nitrous oxide (laughing gas) for mild relaxation, oral conscious sedation for deeper relaxation, and IV conscious sedation for the deepest relaxation level. Oral sedation involves taking prescribed medication about an hour before your appointment. It produces deep relaxation, though you remain conscious. IV sedation delivers medication directly into your bloodstream, allowing for deeper sedation and real-time adjustment during your procedure. IV sedation is our most profound sedation level while still maintaining consciousness.
With nitrous oxide, you’ll remember your treatment. Oral and IV conscious sedation have amnesic effects, so most patients have little to no memory of their procedure.
