When you’re missing multiple teeth, you understand the struggles it presents; you may have trouble chewing your food, and you more than likely don’t want to smile in pictures. Even worse, missing teeth can dramatically affect your self-confidence and keep you from interacting with others. Fortunately, the dental team at All in the Family Dental wants to help you replace your missing teeth with the all-on-x treatment concept. Keep reading to learn more about all-on-x implant-supported dentures.

What Is All-on-X?

The “X” in the all-on-x treatment concept refers to the number of dental implants your dentist will use to support your new dentures; this number varies from two to six and depends on your oral health and dental needs.

If you need to replace several teeth or even a full arch of teeth, all-on-x implant-supported dentures can replace your teeth in one day and keep them from slipping or moving like traditional dentures. Your new dentures will simply snap onto the dental implants. Not only that, but the dental implants will stimulate your jawbone and keep it from deteriorating, improving your oral health.

What Is the Implant-Supported Dentures Process?

During your initial evaluation, we will take x-rays and 3-D images of your teeth and jaw to determine the best implant placement.

On the day of your implant procedure, we will strategically place dental implants into your jaw. A connector is then attached to each implant, and once we create your dentures, they will snap onto the connector to complete your smile. You won’t have to worry about hiding your smile anymore!

Benefits of All-on-X Implant-Supported Dentures

Once you replace your teeth with all-on-x implant-supported dentures, you can expect the following benefits:

  • Durability and stability – You can bite down and chew normally.
  • Longevity – Your new implants can last a lifetime.
  • Faster healing – Because we strategically place fewer implants and can often avoid bone grafting, you can expect to heal faster.
  • Aesthetics – You will love your new smile!
